Steven Wiles

Steven Wiles, 69, of Canton, Ohio, passed away on Sunday, April 9, 2023. Steven was born on October 4, 1953 to the late James and Josephine Wiles.
Steven retired in 2009 after 30 years of service as a staff representative Ohio Civil Service Employee's Association in Columbus. He was an active member of Trinity United Methodist Church, where he and his wife, Marva, led a ministry for two years at Amherst Meadows. They were foster parents for 14 years, and he could be described as the best foster dad ever. His most enjoyable time was spent with his children and grandchildren, and watching his granddaughters Kaylee and Kaitlyn grow up. Steven was a true family man, nothing meant more to him than spending time with his family and bringing people together. He was the center of his family, and he will be missed dearly.
In addition to his parents, Steven is preceded in death by his siblings, Rick Wiles, Patty Richards, Candy Richards; his granddaughter, Kallie Croft; and his sister-in-law, Linda Wiles.
Steven is survived by loving wife of 35 years, Marva Wiles; his children, Zachary Croft, Gilbert (Jennifer) Croft, Rebecca Koury, and Stephanie (Craig) Rice; grandchildren, Kaylee Croft, Kaitlyn Croft, Harmony, Holly, Randy, Raylee, Matthew, Noah, Jerimiah, and Karson; his brothers, Jeff Wiles and Terry (Linda) Wiles; special sister, Bonnie Heil; and numerous nieces, nephews, foster children, aunts, uncles and cousins.
A service will be held at Trinity United Methodist Church (3757 Lincoln Way E Massillon, OH 44646) on Saturday, April 22 at 10am with a graveside service following at Forest Hill Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks for donations in Steven's name to the American Heart Association.
