McFarland Funeral Home, Inc. - OwensboroOn March 27, 1965, Stewart “Snake” Myles entered this life, born to Stewart Bowling and Margaret Ann Miles.
On March 21, 2026, the Lord whispered to him, “You are closer to My home than yours—come to your eternal home with Me.” Stewart answered the call and entered into eternal rest.
Stewart was a humorous, joyful spirit who brought laughter wherever he went. As the only child of his mother, he and Margaret shared a special and unbreakable bond. He loved music—especially Michael Jackson—with Thriller being his all time favorite. He also loved to pop lock, bringing energy, rhythm, and fun to any room he entered.
A gifted athlete, Stewart was a standout football player whose talent and passion were unmistakable. He graduated from Owensboro High School and spent most of his adult life working as a maintenance worker. His presence, his laughter, and his light will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.
Stewart leaves to cherish his memory his loving family: his mother, Margaret Ann Miles; his children, Monique Shemwell McCormick, Camron Shemwell, Xaviera Roper (Demetrius Roper), Demeesia Floyd, and Traveno Parm (Alyssa Anderson); his grandchildren, Tammesha, Nylan, Nya, Roderick, Camron Jr., Iyonna, Armani, Josiah, Tramaine, Gabriella, Dakari, Zayden, Tevion, Liam, Levi, Destinniyiah, Timmyiah, Antario, and Zamari; his great grandchildren, Dez’Mere, Jahmari, Majesti, and Royal; his uncle, Richard Myles; and a host of other relatives and his best friend, Ronnie Farmer.
He was preceded in death by his father, Stewart Bowling; his son, Jovi Parm; his grandparents, Richard Miles and Sallie VerJohn Brown Johnson; his aunts, Helen Johnson Dalton and Blanche Johnson; and his uncles, Joe Johnson, James Johnson, and Monroe Johnson.
Rest well, Stewart. You will forever live on in the hearts of those who loved you.
