Stormie Kirchharr Simons, born July 13, 1933, in Summerdale, Alabama, passed away peacefully, surrounded by the love of her family. A woman of quiet strength and deep devotion, Stormie lived her life with grace, kindness, and a steadfast commitment to those she cherished.

Raised in Pensacola, Florida, she carried with her the values of her upbringing - hard work, generosity, and a gentle spirit that made everyone feel welcome in her presence. She was the 10th child of 13 siblings, all who have previously passed.

Stormie is also preceded in death by her parents, Sam and Maggie Ard; husband, Edward Kirchharr, and husband, Fred Simons.

Stormie is survived by her loving children, Jimmy Kirchharr (Jenny), Shirley Cronley (Jim) and Sheryl McClellan (Pat). She was a proud grandmother to seven grandchildren and a delighted great grandmother to ten great grandchildren, each of whom brought her immense joy and pride.

Stormie loved music and enjoyed ballroom and square dancing, traveling worldwide on cruises dancing for her complete enjoyment. In addition, she received great pleasure singing in the adult choir at First Baptist Church. She was always at her happiest listening to music, singing or dancing.

The family would like to thank the staff and residents of Wesley Haven as well as Trisha with Emerald Coast Hospice, all who provided great comfort and care to their mother. Special thanks are extended to sitters Romona Barnes and Angelia Gundy, and especially to Ardelia Wilson, who brought so much joy, laughter and love to Stormie's life.

A service honoring Stormie will be held at Faith Chapel South, Monday, February 16, 2026, at 11:00 AM, and visitation with the family prior at 10:00 AM. Burial will be private.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Samaritan Hands Ministry at First Baptist Church, Pensacola.
