Dr. Stuart Breiterman, beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and cousin, passed away peacefully on October 12, 2025, at the age of 76, surrounded by his family in Upper Freehold Township, New Jersey.

Born in Washington, D.C., Stu embodied determination, compassion, and humor throughout every chapter of his life. A proud first-generation college graduate, he went on to become a respected podiatric surgeon – dedicated to the well-being of his patients and known for his calm logic and gentle wit. Whether offering pragmatic advice, comforting words, or a well-timed joke, Stu had an extraordinary ability to make every interaction meaningful.

Stu's greatest pride and joy was his family. He is survived by his devoted wife of 52 years, Wendy, his sons, Adam (Keren) and Steven, grandchildren Jemima and Jordie, his sisters Regina and Sima (Denise), and his sister-in-law, Nancy (Jeff) Weissman. He was predeceased by his beloved sister-in-law, Jo Anne Adlerstein. He is also cherished by many nephews, nieces, and cousins.

To everyone lucky enough to know Stu, he was the ultimate role model – compassionate, kind, endlessly supportive, and always present. He was also generous and charitable and loved helping others. His family will forever cherish memories of travels, holidays, parties, his warm laugh, and most of all, his gratitude.

Stu was a man who always thought positively and aimed high. From playing basketball at the University of Maryland, to founding his own podiatry practice, to overcoming profound health battles bravely and with grace, Stu faced each challenge with quiet resilience and unwavering purpose. He taught his family, by example, that strength is not in avoiding hardship, but in confronting it with heart and humor.

Guided by Jewish faith and tradition, Stu lived a life grounded in goodness, integrity, and service to others. He was a lifelong learner and passionately studied Torah. He enjoyed giving beautiful religious books from his extensive library to family members. His legacy endures in the love he gave and the example he set. May his memory be a blessing, and may his light continue to guide all who were touched by his extraordinary faith, optimism, and courage.
