Stuart Grant Martin

Stuart Grant Martin, 41, of Rupert passed away after a long illness at home on Sunday, February 15, 2026. He was born on June 5, 1984, to William Harry Martin and the late Kimberly Sue Clark Martin at Ronceverte, West Virginia. Stuart was a 2002 graduate of North Davidson High School, Welcome, North Carolina.

He loved his video games and was an avid gamer. Stuart had a big heart and tried to help anyone he could. Even though his health was in decline, he always looked out for his neighbors and family. Stuart worked with his dad from the time he was five years old as stone mason. Stuart struggled with addiction for many years, causing him to have a fast decline in his health. His dad was very proud of him because he had overcome his addiction and picked up on the relationship they had struggled with.

In addition to his mother, Stuart is preceded in death by grandparents Harry and Cora Martin and Ron and Mary Clark; uncle Buford Martin; and aunt Nancy Bragg.

Stuart is survived by his father, William Harry Martin (Debra); aunts Angie Walker, Willa Blevins, Shirley Mills, Betty Dodd; and uncles Bruce Martin and Steve Martin.

Stuart will be cremated and his remains will be scattered with his mom.
