Stuart Schelp Obituary
Stuart Arthur Schelp, age 74, formerly of Quincy, Illinois and St. Louis, Missouri, died on Thursday, September 2, 2021 in the Philippines.
Stuart was born on May 10, 1947, the son of Kenneth and Jane Lincoln Schelp. He was married to Loida Cabugnason in the Philippines. She survives.
Stuart was a 1965 graduate of Quincy High School, and he received his Bachelor's degree from Culver Stockton College in 1969. Stuart was a dedicated Rotarian. He was a former member of the Quincy Rotary Club and remained active with Rotary in the Philippines.
In addition to his wife, Loida, Stuart is survived by two children, Stuart Schelp and Sarah (Ryan) Ludlum; a step-daugther, Angel Cabugnason; three grandchildren, Victoria Costello, Katie Ludlum and Hunter Ludlum; a sister-in-law, Lynn Schelp; a niece, Jane Schelp Mann; a nephew, Spencer (Katie) Schelp; and several great-nieces and great-nephews.
Stuart was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Marilyn Schelp, and his brother, Peter Schelp.
Services for Stuart were held in the Philippines.
