SuAnn Marie (Splain) Strubbe was born on July 30th, 1951, in Lincoln, NE. She was the daughter of Virgil and Arlene (Link) Splain. SuAnn later moved York, NE, where she resided most of her life. Her son, Jeremy, was born in 1971, and her daughter, Paula, was born in 1975. She also had many step-children and grandchildren.
SuAnn met Greg through a mutual friend at the bowling alley in York, NE. She rode in the truck with Greg…and the rest is history. They were united in marriage on September 24th, 2005, in Thayer, NE. All the years together, made for a great 25 years.
SuAnn enjoyed camping and fishing. She loved her flower garden, especially the day lilies and impatiens. She enjoyed piecing together puzzles during the winter months and doing crafts. She was a long-time member of the VFW Auxiliary in Nebraska, and a volunteer in the kitchen at the Senior Center in Graceville, MN.
Left to cherish her memory are her husband, Gregory Strubbe; her children; stepchildren; and grandchildren; her siblings: Doug (June) Splain, Erle (Faye) Splain, and Paul Splain. She was preceded in death by her parents; one brother, Dean Splain; and one sister, Yvonne (Splain) Scheurs.
SuAnn would like to be remembered by her big heart, her strength, and great sense-of-humor. She kept us all laughing, in life, and will for many years to come.
The family has requested in lieu of flowers, prayers are greatly appreciated.
