Obituary of Subhash Jain M.D.
We regret to share the sad news that our beloved father, Dr Subhash Jain, passed away today after prolonged illnesses.
To honor of our late father, Dr. Subhash Jain, and to support his progression in his divine journey, we are holding devotional prayers at the Hindu Samaj Temple in Mahwah, NJ on Saturday November 25 from 10-12pm.
We will feature some of our father's favorite devotional Bhajans and a Navkar Mantra Jaap. Thank you in advance for your attendance and support.
Subhash Jain was born in 1946 in Jodhpur, Rajsthan as the second son of Champalal and Kesar Bai Jain and married to his dear wife Sarla (Duggar) Jain in 1968. After working as a physician in Banswada, India he made the difficult decision to immigrate to the United States.
Over the following years, he would build a life in the metropolitan New York area and establish himself as a foremost authority in the management of pain, proudly founding and then leading the pain service at Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center for over 20 years; an endowed lecture is held in his honor annually. He was a dedicated leader of his profession, but he wore his identity proudly. He was a leader in the Indian physician and Jain religious community. He proudly gave back to healthcare and education efforts through the charitable trust he led, International Human Benefit Services.
By profession, he was a healer. But his passions extended to music, poetry, spirituality, community service to his native India and, most importantly his family and his friends-with a particular enduring love for his brothers and sisters in India. He was the revered patriarch of a family that includes his wife children-Narpat/Archana, Roopam/Sapna, and Sachin/Jennifer-and grandchildren-Sidharth/Aashi, Rishab, Sambhav, Aadesh, and Parshav. In a lifetime of achievements-it was his family of which he was most proud.
We thank everyone for their prayers in this time of grieving and reflection. In lieu of flowers, we ask that donations be made to International Human Benefit Services, 101 Piermont Road, Tenafly, NJ 07670, www.ihbstrust.com

Om Sadgati
Dr. Jain, was the kindest, loving, most caring and attentive doctor, and shared his unique spiritual blessings with my husband & myself. We had been searching for help for my husbands' pain issue for several years without help and had lost faith. Dr. Jain restored that faith and gave my husband the first relief he had in years.
Blessings for his journey and upon his family.

Om shanti.
