Sue Atkinson

Sue Atkinson, a beloved mother, aunt, and friend, passed away peacefully on November 29, 2025, at the age of 74. Born on March 28, 1951, in Chicago, Illinois, Sue brought warmth and joy to everyone who had the privilege of knowing her.

She was the cherished daughter of Warren and Dorothy Reilly, beloved granddaughter of Joe and Josephine Monteville, all of who preceded her in death, along with her dear siblings Kathy (the late Roger) Zvone and Bobbie (the late Ernie) Misiora. Sue's legacy of love and kindness continues through her surviving family members, including her devoted daughter, Julie Atkinson, her loving nieces Kris (George) Cecala and and Jenny Misiora and her nephew Michael (Wendy) Misiora. She leaves behind her treasured great-nephews and great-niece, Joey, Dylan, and Lanie Cecala, who brought her endless joy and laughter.

For over 20 years, Sue dedicated her career to Prudential Life Insurance Company. She was also a customer service representative at the Physicians Service Center. She took great pride in her work, always striving to help others with a smile.

In her personal life, Sue was passionate about creating beauty through her hobbies. She enjoyed making jewelry, a craft that showcased her creativity and gave her immense satisfaction. More than anything, Sue cherished the time spent with her family. Her home was always open, and she found joy in hosting gatherings filled with laughter, stories, and love.

A memorial visitation will be held in her honor on December 6, 2025, at 9:00 am until time of memorial service 10:00 am at Modell Funeral Home. The family welcomes all who wish to celebrate Sue's life and share in the love and memories she created. Interment St. Mary Cemetery.
