Sue Craver Obituary
Mrs. Sue Frances Sisk Craver, age 81
Of: Waverly, TN, passed away Monday, January 29, 2024, at AHC HealthCare in Waverly. She was born June 8, 1942, in Sheffield, Alabama, to Carl Milton Sisk and Ernestine Blackwell Sisk. She was married to Robert Franklin “Frank” Craver of Waverly.
Sue was a 1964 Graduate from Western Kentucky College in Bowling Green, KY, and would go on to receive her Master’s Degree in Special Education from Tennessee State University. After receiving this degree, she went on to teach in the Houston County Educational System for a total of seventeen years. Mrs. Sue was also a lifelong member of Waverly United Methodist Church where she worked with the Methodist Youth Fellowship for many years. She had a love and passion for teaching those around her, but it was not her only passion as she had many hobbies that she loved, some of these include watercolor painting, playing bridge with the local Bridge Club, and reading, as she was part of the local Book Club. She was also a part of the Retired National Education Association and The Humphreys County Arts Council.
Visitation will be held from 11:00am until 2:00 p.m., Saturday, February 10, 2024, at Waverly United Methodist Church, 115 West Main Street, Waverly, TN.
Memorial Service for Mrs. Craver will be conducted at 2:00 pm Saturday, February 10, 2024, at Waverly United Methodist Church with Rev. Chris Thompson officiating.
