Sue-Ellen Ploeger Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Edline-Yahn & Covington Funeral Chapel on Aug. 19, 2025.

With an adventurous spirit and a heart full of love, Sue-Ellen (Weber) Ploeger brought light and joy into the lives of each person she met. Born on March 6, 1966, in Ogden, Utah, Sue-Ellen was a strong, courageous woman who faced life's challenges head-on. Her journey came to a peaceful end on August 14, 2025, surrounded by family and her dog, Piper.

Sue-Ellen was many things to many people; a loving wife to Brian Ploeger, a supportive and compassionate mother to Matthew, a pillar of strength, princess warrior, friend, inspiration to many, and the rock of her family. Her life was blessed and full, with the love of her family and her dog Piper.

In her professional life, Sue-Ellen excelled in the retail industry. She loved to walk every aisle in a grocery store, taking pictures of sets, new product placements, and ensuring the space was correct. Even while traveling, she couldn't resist exploring the local market.

Possessing an adventurous spirit, Sue-Ellen embraced life with open arms. She loved to cook and took delight in crafting new recipes for her family to enjoy. Some stood the test of time, others were never bothered to be made again. This made lasting memories around the dinner table. She loved spending time outdoors walking, hiking, paddle boarding and enjoyed family "fun" runs.

Proceeded in death by her parents, Jack and Georgia Weber, and her brother, Matthew Weber, whom her son is named after. Her spirit lives on in her husband Brian, her son Matthew, and the numerous lives she touched along her journey.

A celebration of life will be held one year from the date of her passing - August 14, 2026.

Family will cherish memories of her and celebrate her remarkable life. We invite all to share your stories, photos and kind words on the memorial page to keep Sue-Ellen's memory alive.

In the words of Sue-Ellen, "Be Safe - Be Smart - Be Kind and if you're happy and don't complain you've won."

Yesterday

My heart is broken to hear of Sue Ellen's passing. Her Squinty-eyed smile, and contagious laugh made it impossible to not be drawn to her as a friend in high school. I will cherish the fun time, Swim parties and just hanging out with you and Heidi during high school. I remember when we had our little sisters dress up fancy to answer our Prom dates. Such fun memories will always be cherished.
Prayers to Bryan and their son and sister Sheri
