Sue Keener

Susan A. "Sue" Keener, 85, of Morgantown, passed away Saturday, July 5, 2025 at Fairmont Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center.
She was born October 27, 1939 in Fairmont, a daughter of the late Charles and Ada Reinhart Morrison.
Sue is survived by her three children, Tammi Blake and her companion Chuck Lee of Rivesville, Bobbie Blake and his wife Sheila of Fairmont, and Marty Blake and his wife Cheryl of Mannington; eight grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; her brother, Timothy Morrison and wife Barbara of Fairmont; a sister-in-law, Penny Morrison of Fairmont; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Paul Keener; a son, Mark Blake; a grandson, Jesse James Loya; and siblings Donnie Morrison, Jimmy Morrison and his wife Janet, and Penny Spencer and her husband Charlie.
Sue attended a one-room schoolhouse in Hog Lick and then graduated as the Valedictorian of her class from Fairmont Senior High School. She also attended Fairmont State University. She retired from Kroger's Suncrest Town Center location as their head florist after more than 40 years of service and worked there until she was 80 years old.
She was an artist and enjoyed going to the mountains, taking trips to Amish Country each fall, and dearly loved and adored her grandchildren.
Friends may join the family to honor Sue's life and legacy at Smith Funeral & Cremation Care, 108 Holland Ave., Westover (304-292-9494) on Tuesday, July 8th from 4:00 pm until the time of the funeral service at 6:00 pm officiated by Pastor Donna Dalton. Following the service, the family request for cremation will be honored.
