SUE EILEEN MILLMAN

HANOVER PARK - Sue Eileen Millman, affectionately referred to as Susie, and introduced as just plain Sue - passed away, peacefully with her family by her side, on April 25, 2024. Born to Melvin and Jean Weinberg on June 12, 1944, in Detroit, she was a beacon of light and warmth. Sue was a cherished member of the Weinberg family, sister to Jeanette (Anthony) Nitsch, the late Nancy Betts, and Laura (Karry) Evans. In 1973, Sue's heart found its counterpart in Robert Joseph Millman. Their marriage was a testament to enduring love, celebrated in a quaint ceremony on January 19, 1974. Residing in Illinois for fifty years, together, they raised two remarkable children, Kenneth Millman, and the late Gregory Millman. Sue's love extended to her two grandchildren, Jacob and Andrew. The legacy of Sue's kindness, joy, and gift of conversation will be kept alive through all those that knew her. To say that Sue was proud of her family would be an understatement. Sue dedicated her life to her family as a homemaker, wife, mother, friend, and sister. Her life outside the family was rich with her passion for art. Sue was an artist, craft maker, a creative soul, working for AC Nielsen, Evanston Hospital, and Rainbows Unlimited where she spent her time at art fairs across the state personalizing her crafts for others. Sue was especially enthusiastic about butterflies - alive and in various artistic presentations. Sue will be cremated and laid to rest in Lake Michigan. A celebration of life will be held at a later date to share memories and reflect on a life lived with purpose and love. Sue's family requests that donations be made to Boys Town in support of helping children succeed, in lieu of sending flowers. Sue's life was a testament to the lives she touched, and the love she shared. Her presence will be deeply missed, but her legacy will bloom eternally in the hearts of those she has left behind.
