Sue Moss Obituary

Moss, Sue Ann
ALBANY - Sue Ann Moss, 84, passed away peacefully on Tuesday January 7, 2025, with her adoring husband and family by her side. Sue was born and raised in Albany, where she met her husband and raised their family. She graduated from Philip Schuyler High and later worked for the City of Albany in Code Enforcement and retired from D.G.S. Sue was a devoted Catholic at St. James Parish.
Sue was preceded by her parents, Joseph and Julia Masters; brother, William (Billy) Masters; in-laws, Edward Lowe, Eugene Kendrick, Jerry and June Moss, Shirley Scally and Charles Peterson.
Sue is survived by her devoted husband, Edward (Eddie or Brother, as she called him) Moss. They were married for 62 years, but together since their teenage years. They enjoyed walks at the Cape and Hampton Beach, people watching, trips with family and friends, meeting new people and bus trips.
Also survived by her children, Teri Sue (Bill) Cleary, Brian (Michelle) and Barry (Emilie). Her biggest joy was being the mother of twins and her daughter. She loved their family vacations at Hampton Beach, carting them to bowling and sport games, helping with paper routes and always keeping them busy. Her grandchildren, Rebecca (Ryan) Babin, Caitt (Jeff) Moss, Dylan Moss, Carlie and Kelcie Moss and Kristen (Matt) Olmschenk; and five great-grandchildren.
Also survived by her sisters, Sally Lowe and Judy Kendrick; sisters-in-law, Beverly Fallen-Masters and Rene Peterson. She loved having sisters and would do anything for them. Her 25 nieces and nephews, and 30+ great-nieces and nephews, who she always enjoyed being with.
She has many great friends who are thought of as family, The Kearn's, Schwind's, Williams, Dowd, Kelly's, Couchman's and Ed's scout troop. All of whom she loved spending time and talking about old days. Also keeping up with what the families were up to.
Sue will always be remembered for keeping up with all family and friends birthday and special events with cards. She was the one who would remember everyone's names, the family historian. The family would like to thank the staff at the Daughters of Sarah, Memory Care Unit.
Calling hours will be held on Monday, January 13, from 4 to 6 p.m., at the Daniel Keenan Funeral Home, 490 Delaware Ave., Albany. A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered on Tuesday, January 14, at 11 a.m., at St. Francis of Assisi Church, Delaware Ave., Albany, followed by Burial in Calvary Cemetery.
