Sue Stegall, a beloved mother and grandmother, has left behind a legacy of love and devotion. Born on October 5, 1940, in Ridgely, TN, Sue lived a life that touched the hearts of many. She departed this life peacefully on December 9, 2023, in her home, surrounded by loved ones. Throughout her journey on this earth, Sue exuded grace, strength, and an unwavering commitment to her family.

Sue's greatest joys in life were derived from her faith and her family. She deeply cherished reading her Bible daily and found solace in Christian magazines like "Signs of the Times." Her children would visit her regularly, and without fail, she would excitedly inquire if they had brought her beloved magazines. Sue's dedication to nurturing her spiritual connection was an inspiration to all who knew her.

Not only was Sue a devoted mother and grandmother, but she also possessed an innate sense of style. Regardless of age or circumstance, she always radiated beauty and elegance. One could never help but admire the careful attention Sue paid to her appearance – she truly believed that dressing well was a reflection of the respect one had for oneself and others.

Community service held a special place in Sue's heart until illness hindered her ability to participate actively. Volunteering at church was among her most treasured hobbies, providing immense fulfillment as she extended compassion to those in need. In addition to her dedication to empowering others through service, Sue possessed an eye for interior decoration. She remained up-to-date with the latest home decor trends while also ensuring that her personal style remained fresh and modern.

Sue's proudest accomplishments can be found within the love and warmth she nurtured within her own family. Her adoration for each member knew no bounds but perhaps shone brightest when it came to her great-granddaughters. They held a special place in her heart, and she always made sure to surround them with affection and wisdom. Sue's legacy will forever live on as her family continues to hold dear the values of love, strength, and togetherness that she instilled in them.

Left to cherish her memory are her children, Pam Fesmire (Mike), Angie Doyle (Tommy), and Jimmy Stegall (Joni); granddaughters, Alaina Amon (Kaleb) and Britni Stegall; grandson, Dustin Cupples; great-granddaughters, Lyric, Ella, Haddie, and Reese; and one more great-grandbaby on the way.

Sue was preceded in death by her loving husband, Willard Ray Stegall; parents, George and Wilma Reeves; brother, Billy Joe Reeves; and sister, Barbara Austin.

To honor Sue's memory, a visitation will be held on December 12, 2023, in the chapel ofArrington Funeral Directors.  The visitation will commence at 12:00 p.m. and conclude at 12:30 p.m.  Following the visitation, a graveside service will be held at 1:30 p.m. at Independence Cemetery.
