Dorothy Sue Turner, 74, of Lepanto, Arkansas departed this life on Saturday, December 16, 2023 at Flo and Phil Hospice House in Jonesboro, Arkansas. She was born in Dyess, Arkansas on January 15, 1949 to James and Ruth Rush Humphrey. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Lepanto, Arkansas. She enjoyed spending time with her family, gardening, and planting flowers, oh how she loved her flowers. She also enjoyed fishing and deer hunting with Kurron, and more than anything, spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her parents, two brothers: Carl and Tom Humphrey, five sisters: Claudine Perkins, Willa Mae Gates, Bobbie Jean Fountain, Ruth Farmer and Audrey Tyler.
Sue is survived by her husband of fifty-eight years: Kurron Turner, two sons: Lee Turner (Carla) of Lepanto and Jerry Turner (Kobie) of Paragould, five grandchildren: Lauren Garrison (Cory), Jonathan Turner Schalk, Jennifer Livingston, Trevor Hill and Sawyer James Turner, four great grandchildren: Carlee, Carter, Xaiden, and Hadley Marie, two brothers: James Doyle and Emmitt Humphrey, and a host of other family, friends, nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be held at Delancey Funeral Home, Lepanto on Thursday, December 21, 2023 at 11:00 a.m. and visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m.
Interment will follow service in Potter Memorial Cemetery, Lepanto.
Brother Mark Constant will officiate the service.
Arrangements are under the care of Delancey Funeral Home, Lepanto.
