Betty Whitlock Obituary
She was a native of Pulaski, VA, and wife of the late Joseph Cameron "JC" Whitlock, Jr., and the daughter of Elsie and Thelma Goad, both deceased. She was also preceded in death by her daughter, Crystal "Cristy" Shaun Duncan Nation; brothers Paul Dean Goad and Jesse Lee Goad, sister Mary Ann Sigmon, and granddaughter Shauna Michelle Wheeling.
She is survived by her daughters, Yvette Leigh Duncan and Cynthia Marie Whitlock Litchtenstein; her son Joseph Andrew Whitlock (Bekah); grandchildren: Joshua Nathan Wheeling, Tyler Conner, Reese Cameron Whitlock, Emma Ruth Lichtenstein, and Joseph Michael Whitlock; and sisters Myrtle Jean Clark and Ruby Ellen Ratcliff.
We will all forever cherish her memory. Her legacy endures in the love she gave so freely. Though words cannot fully express the depth of our loss, we find comfort in the memories we shared and the love that will continue to guide us. Mom's light will never fade, and her spirit will remain with us always.
The family will receive friends at Lotz Funeral Home in Salem on Sunday, September 28, 2025 from 6:00 until 8:00 pm.
A graveside service will be held at Cedar Lawn Cemetery on Tuesday, September 30, 2025 at 11:00 am with Pastor Brian Geiser officiating.
A special thanks to her care team at Good Samaritan Hospice who provided exceptional care to our mother with utmost compassion and dignity.
