SueAnn DeFord Leeman
May 5, 1944 to October 22, 2025
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Ms. SueAnn DeFord Leeman of Lakeland, FL. She was 81.
SueAnn was raised with love and care by Dale John DeFord and Kathryn Fredrick Apgar DeFord in the embrace of the Lord and the Eagledale Baptist Church. Always kind-hearted, she was a great listener and willing to help anyone.
Born in Indianapolis, Indiana on May 5, 1944, she graduated from George Washington High School in 1962. She married Allen LeRoy Leeman the same year, welcoming their sons Lance Allen Leeman in 1963 and Anthony Dale Leeman in 1966. She worked at RCA, Union Carbide and Westbrook Osteopathic Hospital before moving to Lakeland, FL in 2000 where she worked as a Forewoman in Facilities Maintenance at the City of Lakeland, retiring after more than 15 years of service. She enjoyed drawing and arts and crafts her entire life.
SueAnn joins her son, Lance and is survived by her son, Anthony; four grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
A visitation will be held Monday, November 3, 2025 at Flanner Buchanan-Zionsville from 12-1:30pm with a service to follow at 2pm in Whitestown at the Lincoln Memory Gardens Chapel.
