Beardstown - Suellen Marie Musch, 83, of Beardstown passed away Saturday, February 8, 2025, at Cedarhurst in Jacksonville. She was born December 2, 1941, the daughter of Carl "Foreman" and Mary Martin Stiltz. She married Charles E. Musch on June 24, 1962 in Arenzville, and he survives.
She is also survived by sons, Greg (Maria) Musch of Robinson, Illinois; Scott (Lisa) Musch of Arenzville, Illinois and Jason (Matt Hayes) Musch of Nashville, Tennessee. Four grandchildren, Cydney (Dakota) Longley of Monticello; Olivia (Mark) Lyden of Dallas, Texas; Mackenzie Musch of Chicago, Connor Musch of Arenzville and great-grandson Declan Longley. And one brother Carl (Nancy) Stiltz of Brookfield, MO.
Suellen was a graduate of Arenzville High School and went to work at Bound to Stay Bound Books until leaving to raise her children. She owned and operated a beauty salon in her home in Arenzville and later owned and operated Country Interiors, providing painting, wallpaper and custom made draperies for many homes in the community. She later enjoyed working in the Activities Department at Heritage Health in Beardstown. Suellen was a wonderful cook and seamstress. She enjoyed teaching crafts to her grandchildren and attending their events and activities. You would see Charles and her regularly meeting friends for coffee at Hardee's and McDonald's in Beardstown.
Funeral services will be held at St. Peter's Lutheran Church in Arenzville on Tuesday, February 11, 2025 at 11 a.m. Family will meet friends beginning at 10 a.m. prior to the service. Burial will be held immediately following at St. Peter's Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to St. Peter's Lutheran Church or Elara Hospice services.
