Suellyn Pancaro Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Messinger Mortuaries- Indian School Mortuary on Mar. 13, 2026.
Surrounded by her loving family, Suellyn (Sue) Pancaro, of Scottsdale, AZ, passed away peacefully 2/27/26 after a two-month journey with COPD/emphysema. Sue was born to William R. and N. Arlene (Thomas) Solomon in El Dorado, KS, on 9/29/1946. The first child and grandchild of the family, she was raised as a small-town princess where she was lavished with love and affection. In her youth she enjoyed riding her horses with friends, spending time with her grandmother, Leah Thomas, and her aunt, Eloise Reep, in Wichita, KS, and out in the country on family farms.

Anxious to grow up, Sue married Bill Millis when she was just 17, and though technically this ended her life as a princess, she loved her kids, Michael and Michelle, very much, and remained devoted to them and their families throughout her life. She and Bill lived in several different states, including Kansas, Nebraska, Colorado, New Mexico, and Arizona.

Professionally, Sue worked as a model, an administrative assistant, a newspaper reporter, an employment agent, and as a sales professional, retiring from Dex Media in 2007. In all of her positions, Sue enjoyed working with other people, including both co-workers and customers.

In 2003, Sue married Joseph Pancaro, and together they built a lovely life in which she got to be a princess, once again. With Joe, Sue enjoyed car rides, playing slot machines at the casino, and dining out. She also loved watching the wildlife around their home near the foot of the McDowell Mountains in north Scottsdale.

Sue was active in her community, serving on the Board of her neighborhood Homeowners' Association, including holding the role of President for several years.

Sue will be remembered by her children as a strong, independent, charming, fun, and loving mother. Sue is survived by her husband, Joseph Pancaro; son, Michael (Sherri) Millis; daughter, Michelle (Robert) Gall; granddaughter, Courtney (Ekaphonh) Xosanavongsa; grandsons Zachary (Vanessa) Millis, Christopher (LaArny) Millis, and Steven (Melissa)Terrell, as well as seven great-grandchildren: Kayla and Jordan Xosanavongsa; Jillian, Ethan, Ian, and William Millis; and Jack Terrell. She is also survived by her siblings, Tom (Kirsten) Solomon; Steve Solomon; and Linda Orner.

A Celebration of Life will be held at Messinger Indian School Mortuary, Scottsdale, AZ, on Friday, March 6th at 11:00 am. Following the service, interment will take place at Paradise Memorial Gardens, Scottsdale, AZ.
