Wichita, Kansas - Suk Cha "Pak" Ward, born on January 15, 1928, in South Korea, passed away on August 24, 2025, in Wichita, Kansas. Suk was a dedicated, funny, witty, and loving individual known for her meticulous work ethic and her love for her garden, plants, and beloved pets. She spent her career as a Laundry Aid, providing crucial support to medical professionals and patients in need. Suk's dedication was not only evident in her professional life; her friends, family, and pets were of paramount importance to her, and she nurtured these relationships with the same care and attention that she gave to her garden.
Suk is survived by her daughter, Ares (Clarence) Zoglman, granddaughters Marie (Zachary) Querubin, Emily (Maigan McPherson) Zoglman, and five great-grandchildren. She also leaves behind her loyal pet, Ricky. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Terry Ward, whom she married on February 8, 1965, and journeyed with from South Korea to the United States, building a life filled with love and pets.
Visitation for Suk will be held on Friday, August 29, 2025, from 1-7 pm at the Cornejo Funeral Home & Crematory, 1030 Mission Road, Wellington, Kansas, 67152. A funeral service will follow on Saturday, August 30, 2025, at 10:00 am at the same location. Interment will follow at Goodel Cemetery in Drury, Kansas.
Memorial donations may be made in her loving memory to the Wellington Humane Society. Contributions may be mailed or left with the funeral home.
