Suk Kyong Williams, age 83, of

A Journey of Resilience
In 1970, Suk married Francisco Pilon and later moved to Texas with their daughters, Marie and Maria. During these years, Suk's determination was on full display: she taught herself English as a second language, became a naturalized U.S. citizen, and learned to drive. A gifted and self-reliant woman, she also mastered the art of sewing, often crafting her own clothing.
In 1980, Suk moved to
San Jose, California, to begin a new chapter with her daughters. It was there, at a country and western dance in 1983, that she met the love of her life and soulmate, Ronald Williams. Together, they shared 43 years of devotion, building a life rich with adventure, travel, camping, walks in the park and cherished family gatherings.
A Life of Connection
Suk was a pillar of her neighborhood, known for her deep need to communicate and connect with those around her. She was passionate about her flower and vegetable gardens and took great joy in sharing her heritage, teaching many of her neighbors the traditional art of making Korean Kimchee.
