Suresa Fereti Tiumaluali'i Tafua

Suresa Fereti Tiumaluali'i Tafua, 74, passed away peacefully on December 4, 2025, in Salt Lake City, Utah. Born in Fagatogo, Samoa on December 1, 1951, Suresa carried with her throughout her life the warmth, faith, and strength of her island heritage.

A devoted member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Suresa lived her faith with quiet dignity. She loved to serve others, and she did so with a gentle voice, a humble spirit, and a heart that welcomed everyone. She formed deep and lasting friendships wherever she went, always taking time to listen, connect, and uplift.

Above all, Suresa was dedicated to her family. She adored her grandchildren and cherished every moment with them. Her love for them was steadfast and profound, and she found great joy in being part of their lives.

Suresa is survived by her beloved children: Angelin Manczko, Jennie Tafua, Salataima (Olaea) Iosua, Isaiah (Amanda) Tafua, and Mele (Paula) Fifita; her treasured grandchildren: Lafiana Fifita, Evelyn Manczko, Leaine Fifita, Olaea Iosua Jr., and Alina Tafua; and her two sisters, Ainofo (Loi) Afo and Mariaha (Sitielu) Afuvai.

She was preceded in death by her Eternal Companion, Lafi Tafua, who passed in December 2006; her grand daughter Suresa Tafua-Iosua, and by her parents Fereti Tiumaluali'i & Apu Auro Tupua; her brothers Koloti Laulu, Tuvae Laulu, Fili Ieriko, and Lui Tiumaluali'i; and her sisters Della Arp, Fuiavailili Taito, Laveleoge Broederlow, and Moli Tonu'u.

Services will be held on December 15, 2025 at the Bennion East LDS Stake Center in Taylorsville. The family service will be from 8 am to 11:15 am followed by the Bishop's service at 11:30 am to 12:30 pm. Interment will be at the Memorial Estates Cemetery (6500 S Redwood Rd) in West Jordan at 1pm.

Suresa will be remembered for her sweetness, kindness, humility, and unwavering devotion to others. Her legacy of love and service will continue to bless all who knew her.
