Susan L. Albee (nee Aker), age 74 of Mentor, passed away January 3 rd, 2026 at University Hospital in Cleveland with her family by her side. She was born December 5 th, 1951 in Mayfield Hts., Ohio to the late John and Mildred Aker.
Sue enjoyed gardening and walking on the beach in warm weather. She loved most spending time with her family, especially watching her grandson's sporting events. She always looked out for her neighbors giving them a helping hand anytime it was needed.
Sue was the loving wife and best friend for 52 years to Tim J. Albee; beloved mother of Carrie (Jonathan) Mitchner, Tim J. Albee Jr., and Matt Albee; cherished grandmother of Jonathan Mitchner and Brandon Mitchner; dearest sister of Jeff (Karen) Aker and the late John (Barb) Aker, and Jim (Sandy) Aker; aunt to many nieces and nephews.
The Albee family will receive family and friends from 1:00 – 3:00 PM Saturday, January 17 th, 2026 at Jeff Monreal Funeral Home, 1000 Mentor Ave., Painesville. A Celebration of Life Service will follow at 3:00 PM Saturday at the funeral home.
Donations can be made in Sue's name to Hannah's Home www.hannahshome.org or to the Leukemia Lymphoma Society www.lls.org

Jeff and I are so sorry to hear of Sue´s passing. I know she went through so much and was so fierce. We met in elementary school and lost touch after high school but reconnected on Facebook, messaging every few months. Sue was genuine and kind. She will be missed. Much love to her family.
