Susan Alldaffer of Maumee, Ohio passed away peacefully in her home on September 8, 2023 after a long battle with Alzheimer's disease. She was happily married to Delbert Alldaffer for 57 years (deceased in 2018) and both made Maumee their home for raising their children and their retirement years. Susan was retired from a job she enjoyed as a deputy bailiff with the City of Maumee Municipal Court and previously as a manager at JoAnn Fabrics. She was a social and fun-loving person, enjoyed spending time with her cat, enjoyed travel on family trips, was an accomplished seamstress and an amazing artist with painting, drawing and crafts.
She is survived by Robert and Carol Heinemann (brother and sister-in-law); Scott Alldaffer (son); Lori and Jeff Gumone (daughter and son-in-law); Justin and Myla Gumone (grandchildren); Julie Leidel and Sherry Clark (nieces); and her beloved cat, Daisy.
Scott would like to send special thanks to the staff at the Whitehouse Heartland Hospice Center for making her transition very comfortable. In lieu of flowers, the family requests any donations be sent to the Alzheimer's Association.
A casual memorial gathering will take place Friday, September 15, 2023, from 5-7 p.m. at Maison-Dardenne-Walker Funeral Home (501 Conant Street, Maumee). Interment will be private. Condolences may be left to her family online at
