Susan Michele Andrews, 69, of Noblesville passed away Friday, February 14, 2025. Susan was born June 7, 1955, in Carmel, IN to the late Bernard and Charlene Marquiss. She graduated from Ball State University with a bachelor’s degree in journalism and earned her master’s degree in broadcasting from Butler University.
Susan began her career with an Indianapolis advertising agency. She joined Indiana Farmers Group, Indianapolis, in 1979 as assistant to the vice president-public relations. An important part of her job was serving as liaison to the Mutual Insurance Companies Association of Indiana (MICAI), an association of farm mutual companies. She left Indiana Farmers Group in 1995 to serve as executive vice president of MICAI full time until her retirement on August 1, 2006. In October, 1999 Susan received the prestigious NAMIC Merit Award.
A few months after Susan was born her parents were among the charter members who joined together to seek establishment of Orchard Park Presbyterian Church, Carmel. Susan literally grew up at Orchard Park. She was a lifelong member having served both as an Elder and a Deacon. She greatly enjoyed participating in the Women’s Bible studies and monthly book club as well as regular worship activities. She enjoyed reading, music, traveling and spending time with her family.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, February 20th at 1:00 pm at Orchard Park Presbyterian Church, where family and friends are invited to gather from 11:00 am until the time of the service.
Susan is survived by her husband of 35 years, Mike; nephew, Nicholas (wife, Kassie) Marquiss; niece, Kristin (husband, Aaron) Goodwin; great nieces, Elena Marquiss and Kai Goodwin; brother-in-law, Steve (wife, Darla) Andrews; nieces, Julie (John Cox) Andrews, Missy (husband, Randy) Santiano, Meghan (husband, Chris) Hooke. She was preceded in death by her brother, Gregory Marquiss.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Orchard Park Presbyterian Church, Wheeler Mission or Salvation Army.
