Susan Lee Bauer

Susan Lee Bauer, age 74 of Indianapolis, Indiana passed away on Tuesday afternoon, November 7, 2023.

 

Susan was born on June 15, 1949 in Indianapolis, Indiana.  She was a lifelong resident of the Indianapolis area and a member of Good Shepherd United Methodist Church.  She was the daughter of James William and Irene (Pollard) Redman.

 

Susan endured many health setbacks but remained humble and kind. She was an inspiration to all around with her will to keep moving forward with dignity and grace. Susan enjoyed card games and was a fierce competitor. Every once in a while, she would let you win. She had a love for music, old television shows, movies, and above all her family.

 

Susan is survived by her children: son Scott (wife Laura) Bauer of Indianapolis, Indiana and daughter Lori (husband Doug) Evans of New Palestine, Indiana. Three grandchildren: Logan Bauer, Drew Bauer, and Nicholas Evans (wife Alyssa) and one great grandchild on the way. Her dearest sister Carol Talley of Plainfield, Indiana.

 

She is also survived by two special nieces Gina Sickmeier and Pam Woolf and a very special dear lifelong friend Marcia Jenkins.

 

Susan is preceded in death by her parents, her sister Marilyn Stephenson, and her granddaughter Paige Evans.

 

A visitation will be held on Saturday, November 11, 2023 from 10:00 AM until 12:00 Noon at Flanner Buchanan Washington Park East Funeral Center, located at 10722 E. Washington Street, Indianapolis, Indiana 46229.

 

Her funeral service will follow at 12:00 Noon.  Pastor Mark Brock of the Good Shepherd United Methodist Church will officiate.

 

Burial will follow at Washington Park East Cemetery where Susan will be laid to rest with her parents and other relatives.
