Miss Susan Carol Coile, 68, of Bowman, passed away peacefully on Thursday night, August 21, 2025, at Hartwell Health and Rehab, with family by her side.
Susan was born in Elberton on November 28, 1956, daughter of the late Harold Johnson Coile and Susie Mae Barton Coile. She loved flowers and watching westerns. Susan was, without a doubt, Matt Dillon’s biggest fan.
She is survived by her sisters: Mildred Parker of Bowman, Kathleen Pierce and her husband Mason of Dewy Rose, and Joan Ray of Bowman; nieces and nephews: Sonya Moore of Dewy Rose, Darren Pierce of Dewy Rose, Denise Brown of Canon, Adam Hendrix of Tignall, and Shane Brown of Bowman; and numerous extended family members.
Along with her parents, she is preceded in death by her brother, Randell Coile; niece, Sherri Dove; and brother-in-law, Fred Parker.
Funeral services celebrating Susan’s life were conducted on Saturday morning, August 23, at 11:00a.m. in the Memorial Chapel of Berry Funeral Home, officiated by the Rev. Tim Adams. Interment followed alongside her parents in Hillcrest Cemetery in Bowman.
The family wishes to extend their sincerest appreciation to the staff of Hartwell Health and Rehab for their care.
