Susan Jean DeDeo, 75, of Auburn, NH, passed away on August 23, 2024, peacefully surrounded by the love and support of her family.
Born on July 21, 1949, to the late Audrey and Vincent Magnatta in Nyack, NY, Susie grew up in Congers, NY, and attended Clarkstown Central High School. For the past twelve years, she has lived with her family in Auburn, NH, cherishing every moment spent with loved ones.
Throughout her career, Susie worked as an Office Manager for various electric companies, proudly representing IBEW Local 363. Her dedication and work ethic were admired by all who knew her.
In her personal life, Susie found immense joy in watching her grandchildren grow, being a part of their daily lives, and sharing in their accomplishments. She was a passionate fan of football and baseball, cheering on the New York Giants and Yankees with enthusiasm.
Susie had a profound love for animals and always had cats or dogs by her side. Her home was filled with their companionship, and she cared deeply for their well-being. Susie also had a deep appreciation for nature, often spending time bird watching in her backyard. She had a particular love for capturing the beauty of sunrises and sunsets through photography, a hobby that brought her peace and happiness.
Susie is survived by her sisters, Nancy Weber, Margaret Magnatta, and Lorrie Magnatta, her ex-spouse Richard DeDeo, and her beloved daughter, Jacqueline DeDeo Lowe. She was a proud mother-in-law to Rich Lowe and the adoring grandmother of Caitlyn and Taylor Lowe, who were the light of her life.
In honor of Susie’s love for animals and nature, the family kindly requests that donations be made in her memory to either the Humane Society or the Audubon Society, organizations that align with her passions.
She will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her. Her warmth, kindness, and love for her family and nature will forever remain in our hearts.
Services will be held privately and at the convenience of the family.
