Susan L. Dunmire

Susan L. Dunlap Dunmire, 75, of Erie, passed away Tuesday, January 20, 2026. She was born in Erie, PA, on March 3, 1950, a daughter of the late Harold and Margaret Van Schoick Dunlap.

Susan loved family time, looked forward to holidays, and spending time with her grandchildren. She enjoyed going to the casino, horse racing, and jigsaw puzzles. She loved spending time with her cat, Ripley.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 39 years, Thomas M. Dunmire, Sr.; her son, Jonathan T. Dunmire; her sister, Gloria DeMetro; and two brothers, James A. Dunlap, in infancy, and Charles G. Dunlap.

Survivors include her three sons, Thomas M. Dunmire, Jr. (Paula) of Erie, Andrew M. Dunmire (Daniele) of Massachusetts, and Joseph Dunmire (Amber) of Erie; her daughter in law, Jennifer Dunmire of South Carolina; five grandchildren, Austin Zaczyk, Alyssa Jackson (James III), Rachel Dunmire, Logan Dunmire, and Bauer Morrow; two brothers, Harold R. Dunlap and John M.Dunlap; and many nieces and nephews.

Friends may call at the Russell C. Schmidt & Son Funeral Home Inc., 5000 Wattsburg Rd., on Monday from 1 to 3 p.m. and 5 p.m. until the time of services at 7 p.m. Burial will be private and at the convenience of the family.
