Susan Elizabeth Dyste, age 71, passed away peacefully at home in Chandler, Arizona on October 20, 2025.Susan was born on August 1, 1954 to Edward and Semone (LeRossingnol) Schwegman in Minot, North Dakota. She attended school in Minot and graduated from Minot High School in 1972. She also studied Court and Conference reporting at Oakland Community College.In 1975, Susan moved to Arizona and managed the office for Edwards in Tempe, Arizona. She was also the co-owner of a Water and Ice store.On February 22, 1986 Susan was married to Bernard "Bernie" Dyste and became a mother to his two daughters Rebecca and Sarah. In 1988 she had her son Josh. Susan was a loving mother and cherished spending time with her four grandchildren.Susan loved people with all her heart. She was active in her church, attending Word of Grace for many years, and served as a volunteer with a women's prison ministry. She had many friends and will be remembered by them for being kind, caring and dedicated in her friendships, many of them lasting decades. Susan is survived by her children Rebecca Dyste, Sarah (Sean Politz) Dyste and Josh Dyste. Her brother Randy (Charlene) Schwegman and step-brothers: Robert (Jami) Thom, Larry (Tammy) Thom, Brad (Dawn) Thom, Ron (Lori) Thom (Shantel) and her grandchildren, Leia Dyste, Jessica Skaggs, Brody Skaggs and Emery Politz. She has one great-grandson Beau on the way along with many nieces and nephews that she loved.She was preceded in death by her husband Bernie Dyste, her parents Edward and Semone, and step-father Clayton Thom, brothers, Larry Schwegman and Mark Schwegman and her sisters Louise Koenig and Elaine Buth. A Celebration of Life will be held at Falconer Funeral Home in Gilbert, Arizona on Thursday, October 23 at 4 p.m.
