Susan Erickson Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Michael Hegarty & John Vincent Scalia Home for Funerals & Cremation Service on Dec. 13, 2025.
Susan Ann Erickson of Old Bridge, NJ, passed away on December 10, 2025. The beloved daughter of Robert & Rosemary Erickson, she was born in 1956 in the Bronx and moved to Old Bridge in 1960. Growing up there was a wonderful experience that she often reminisced about with her family & friends. She attended St. Ambrose School and Madison Township High School. Upon graduation, she went right to work for RCA and then continued work with the Army & Federal Government as a Logistics Inspector, retiring in 2011.

Everyone who knew her was clear on one thing: she was a deeply caring soul. Susan touched countless lives with her kindness, generosity, and quiet strength. Her family was her biggest strength and she lived for those awesome family events like cruises, vacations, birthday festivities and holidays. A devoted animal lover her whole life, she blessed and was blessed by many animal companions (most memorably Brandy, Tiffany, Annabel and Daisy) and they made her heart smile. A cancer survivor, she faced every challenge with courage and grace, inspiring those around her. She was especially passionate about charitable work, giving much of her time and heart to the Saint Vincent de Paul Society @ St. Ambrose.

Susan was a loving Daughter, Sister, Aunt and Friend and a cherished member of her family. She is survived by her mother, RoseMary of Old Bridge, her brothers Robert (and Debbie) of East Brunswick, Stephen of Old Bridge, and Peter (and Dina) of Pennington, and her sister Kathy Minto (and Jeff) of Freehold. She is also survived by her 7 Nephews (Bobby, Roger, John, Kevin, Carl, Connor and Cameron) who were truly the "apple of her eye" and the most important piece of her happiness. She will be remembered forever for her warmth, compassion, and unwavering dedication to others.

St. Ambrose Church was her 1st school, her beloved place of worship and will be where her final Mass and Celebration of Life will take place on Friday December 19th @ 10:30 AM.

Donations in her name may be made to her beloved chapter of the St. Vincent dePaul Society at St. Ambrose Church.
