Susan Francis, 73, of Milton, Wisconsin, formerly of Rockford, Illinois, passed away peacefully into Heaven on September 22, 2025, with her loving husband and son by her side.
Born in 1952, Susan shared 53 wonderful years of marriage with her husband, Michael. Together, they raised their son, Christopher, and were dedicated members of Our Savior's Lutheran Church in Rockford.
Susan had a deep love for the outdoors. She possessed a remarkable talent for gardening, meticulously planning and planting to create beauty wherever she went. Her passion extended to her home, where her keen designer's eye, often inspired by treasures from her favorite store, Hobby Lobby, made her house a welcoming and beautiful place for all. Her home was a gathering place, a "table of blessings" as her family described it, especially during Thanksgiving.
Susan's life was a testament to her love, generosity, and unwavering faith. Her family and friends are grateful for the 73 years they had with her. Although she will be deeply missed, they find comfort in knowing she is now with the God who created her.
Susan is survived by her husband, Michael Francis; her son, Christopher; her sisters, Lynne (Gene) Schrom and Katherine (William) Friz; and her nieces and nephews, Jeff (Susan) Schrom, Greg (Shedrina) Schrom, Andy (Kathy) Friz, Rebecca (Russ) Sermon, Libby Friz, and Lance Washington.
