It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Susan Elaine Gastright, a lady of boundless energy and intelligence. Susan was born on January 19, 1956 in Ft. Thomas, Kentucky and was sent to her eternal home on December 23, 2025, at her home in Crestview Hills, Kentucky.
She was predeceased by her parents James & Evelyn Jackson and her brother Jeff Jackson. Through her journey of 69 years, she touched many lives with her wisdom, humor and an unwavering spirit of perseverance.
Susan was an avid traveler. She loved to travel to London England to visit with family and to honor her mother’s homeland. In addition to traveling overseas, Susan never missed the opportunity to vacation in Hawaii or Florida on Sanibel Island and Disney World.
Susan retired from Cincinnati Children Hospital as an operations manager in cardiology. She also worked with the Kenton County police department as a dispatcher. Susan graduated from Saint Mary of Woods Collage in Ohio .
Susan’s perseverance, and learning will be carried forward by those who had the privilege of knowing her. Her remarkable life will forever be an inspiration, a testament to the power of an indomitable spirit enthused with curiosity and resilience.
Susan is survived by her sister Paula Jackson, her nephew Mitchel Jackson, her niece Lauren Jackson and her best friend Deb Eddy, her uncle Roy Roger in London England and numerous cousins. She is also leaving behind her babies Sutton and Sydney.
A Celebration of life will be held at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, you can donate to Susan’s favorite charities; Saint Judes Children Hospital in Memphis, Tennessee and Hospice Care of St. Elizabeth in Edgewood, Kentucky.
