An accomplished Textile Artist known for her Tatting abilities, Art Teacher, Real Estate entrepreneur and passionate Bridge player. She was also a Nevada Sagebrush Daughter of the American Revolution.
Born in Kiel, Wisconsin in 1945 to Alfred Frederick Hingiss and Helen Jordan. Susan was the second of two loved and cherished children in the Hingiss home.
Susan attended Kiel Public School and Attended her Confirmation at St. Peters Evangelical and Reformed Church on 22nd of March, 1959.
Susan attended Kiel High School as one of the class of 1963, Graduating on May 30th 1963.
Susan attended the University of Wisconsin, where she met a dashing young man who would come to be her loving husband. She married her sweetheart Robert Mathew Gottsacker at St. Peters United Church of Christ in Kiel on June 3rd 1967.
Susan graduated from the University of Wisconsin on August 12th, 1967 having been conferred a Degree of Bachelor of Science (Art Education).
Susan worked as an art teacher and property renovator. Susan and Robert lived in various states over the years as their careers progressed, eventually settling in Reno, Nevada. Upon Roberts passing on May 2, 2003 Susan continued to work with her properties, playing bridge, weaving and tatting. She was also a philanthropist for many causes.
Susan is survived by Alfred Frederick Hingiss Jr, her Loving brother.
Susan has chosen to be cremated and entombed with her Husband Robert together in Kiel, Wisconsin. Next to where her Loving Brother Alfred will be.
