It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Susan Marie Green (née Bechard), who left us after a courageous battle with cancer. Born in Yakima, WA, and graduated from high school in East Wenatchee. Lived in Great Falls, MT, Oregon, Auburn, WA, and finally settled back in East Wenatchee. Born into a proud German family, Susan carried with her the strength, resilience, and spirited nature of her heritage. She was full of fire-ornery at times, fueled with piss and vinegar-but she was also deeply selfless, always putting others before herself. Susan was the beloved sister of Don, Michael, Steven, Chuck, and her only sister, Carol Zuffuto (Bechard). She was preceded in death by her parents, but her legacy continues through her five sons: Michael Turner, Dean, J.J. Brashear, Ryan, Eric Green, as well as her adopted daughter, Tyla, whom she lovingly welcomed into her family. Her greatest pride was her family, and she leaves behind numerous grandchildren who were the joy of her life: Devan, Brooklyn Brashear, Kate Saltzman Turner, Paige Turner, Mykul , Olivia Green, Zachary, Tyler, Natalie, Lincoln, and Anderson Brashear. Great-grandchildren, Noah, Liam, and Aubrey Saltzman. Susan's life was one of determination and grit, but also generosity and love. She will be remembered for her strength, her stubborn wit, and the sacrifices she made so that her children and loved ones could thrive. She leaves behind not only her children, siblings, and grandchildren, but also extended family members and friends who will carry her memory forward. Susan's passing marks the end of a remarkable journey, but her spirit will live on in the stories, laughter, and love she leaves behind. I love you, Mom. Rest easy.
