Susan Marguerite Holda, 78, of Jerome, Mich., passed away surrounded by her loving family on Thursday, Jan. 4, 2024, at the Hospice Home of Lenawee.
She was born on April 19, 1945, in St. Joseph to Donald Franklin and Alice Catherine (Schultz) Briney.
Sue married the love of her life, Edward Holda, on May 21, 1966, in St. Joseph, and he preceded her in death on July 20, 2023. They raised a family of three children and spent over 57 years together.
Sue enjoyed traveling with Ed, reading, game shows, Bingo, playing slots at casinos, and playing card games like Canasta, Euchre and especially playing Thirty One with all of the family. Above all, Sue adored and cherished her grandchildren.
To cherish her memory, Sue leaves her sons: Kurt (Carla) Holda and David (Tanya) Holda; daughter, Dana (John) Figurski; five grandchildren: Joe, Peyton, Kate, Alex, and Gabe; and a sister, Linda (Kenneth) Weber of Stevensville.
In addition to her loving husband, Ed, Sue is preceded in death by her parents.
Cremation has taken place. Visitation will take place from 5-8 p.m. on Thursday, Jan. 11, at Anderson-Marry Funeral Home, Tecumseh, Mich. A memorial service for Sue will be at 11 a.m. on Friday, Jan. 12, at the funeral home. Pastor Greg Burdine will officiate the service.

The family asks that in lieu of flowers a memorial contribution be made to the Hospice of Lenawee Home. Arrangements are under the direction of the Anderson-Marry Funeral Home, Tecumseh.
