Sorry to hear about Susan. Worked with the family at the registry years ago and knew all the sisters and parents. My thoughts and prayers are with the family.

Thoughts and prayers are with Susan and her family. Susan always displayed positive, energy, strength, and dedication everywhere she went. I remember we did a practice, 15-mile run on a cold, March day. However, Susan was just full of positivity and was a bright positive light, cheering us on! Susan, thank you for giving me the chance to run Boston. It was so empowering to run alongside my sister, team MR8, and the BPL. You made the self-doubting, bushy-eyebrow, kid feel like a superhero. Your kindness, dedication, and impact will never be forgotten. God bless you and your family.

RIP - didn´t know Susan wish I had. Inspired to look her up and read about her amazing life, after reading the story about Gronk. I am a life long Patriots fan and retired MA State Trooper. To her family, I am so sorry for your loss, it´s a deep one, and it must really hurt

Words can´t explain what a difference Susan made in my life - and Kevin´s. Her persistence in working to get Kevin and I into a position to run Boston launched an ongoing friendship of more than 11 years, 16 marathons and countless memories. We´ll never forget your kindness and passion for others.

2 Timothy 4:7 to 8 (NIV) " I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith. Now there is in store for me the crown of righteousness, which the Lord the righteous Judge, will award unto me on that day ".

God Bless!

Susan didn´t let me give up when I thought I couldn´t run the marathon. She lifted me up with her kindness, encouragement, and unwavering belief that I could do more than I ever thought possible. Her light and positive energy touched everyone she met, making each of us on the charity teams feel truly special. I can´t begin to measure the good she brought into this world. I only know how profoundly she changed my little corner of it. I pray she´s resting in Heaven, surrounded by all the joy, love, and peace she gave so freely here on earth.

I never thought his day would come. Susan was such spitfire and a force, the word "can't" just simply wasn't in her vocabulary. She made such a positive impact on the running community and so many local charities. And she cared deeply for each and every one of her runners. I am not sure what the world will look without her, but I know she would want us to keep going, keep running, keep fundraising, keep supporting one another, keep smiling, keep showing up & keep putting one foot in front of the other. I will miss my friend.

I grew up with all the "Hurley girls" living across the street. I have so many first day of school pics with all of us. She was a beautiful person - inside and out. Susan, as with all her sisters, we're brought up by two wonderful parents. They instilled in her the values that made her who she was to become - a vibrant, caring, thoughtful person who helped so many over the years. RIP my friend - your smile will never be forgotten.

I will never be able to put into words the profound impact Susan had on my life. In 2015, Susan provided me with an opportunity to run the Boston Marathon for one of her non-profit charities and I will be forever grateful.

Last Sunday, the world lost one of those people we need more of.

Susan´s impact went well beyond running. Over these last 10 years, when I struggled in private with a life challenge, she could always sense something was going on and would give me a call or grab a coffee to talk things through.

People that know me, often wonder, why do you love running so much? Susan Hurley and the community she formed is that reason. From the moment I walked into my first run with her group in 2016, I knew this is where I was meant to be.

I´ve tried all week to stay positive, because that´s what Susan would have wanted. The loss so many of us feel is immeasurable.

Susan´s legacy will live on forever, but the Boston Marathon will never quite be the same without her physical presence.

Thank you, Susan for all you did.

She used to give me a hard time for all the photos, but I´m grateful to have 100s to remember the good times.
