Obituary For SUSAN MARIE HUSTED

Susan Marie Husted passed away on March 20, 2026 in Fresno, CA. She was 69 years old.

Susan's family stayed by her side during her final days.

Susan was born in Whittier, CA. on September 15, 1956 to Wallace and Christine Johnston the youngest sister of Diane and Joe Johnston. Susan spent her younger years growing up in Norwalk, CA. with her family attending K-12 graduating from Norwalk High School. After graduating she went to work for Flur Corp., and later worked for Pacific Abrasive Corp. where she met the love of her life Larry. After they met she found out that Larry had already given his notice, and was moving back to his hometown of Fresno, CA. That didn't end there they kept in touch by many phone calls, and trips between Fresno, and Norwalk. Then Larry got a call one day from Susan saying she was moving up to Fresno to be with him, and the rest is history.

Together they raise three children, David, Jason and Mark. Raising three boys kept the busy with school, after school sports, many camping trips to the Sierra Nevada mountains along with family vacations up and down the California and Oregon coasts, and of course all those amusement parks, and in between all of this Susan was able to attend Fresno State College where she earned her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology.

Susan and Larry also had full time jobs while raising the boys, Susan worked at Pelco in Clovis, CA for 15 years, while her husband Larry work for the Fresno Bee for 32 years.

After their retirement they enjoyed many trips together in their RV. Together they have many fond memories of their travels together.

Above all Susan will be missed by her husband, and all of her family members
