Susan Louise Langdon

Susan Louise Langdon, 66, of Lynchburg VA, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, August 16, 2022, surrounded by her family.
Born on March 15, 1956, she was daughter of Louise (Aungst) and Edward Lampasona. She is survived by her husband, Roy P. Langdon II; her daughters Danielle (Lori Steckervetz), and Samantha (Shane Goodwin); her grandson Sawyer; her brother, Steven Lampasona; her cousin, Mark Lampasona (Kim) ; many much loved family members and friends; and finally her beloved dog, Sophie Rose.
Susan spent so much of her life spreading love and making meaningful connections with those around her. She was an inspiration, a calming presence, and safe sounding board for countless people. She spent almost 30 years working in schools and touched so many lives, both teachers and students alike, at E.C. Glass High School (Lynchburg, VA), North Country Union Junior and Senior High Schools (Newport, VT), and Derby Elementary School (Derby Line, VT).
Susan was passionate about genealogy and spent many hours researching her family and recording the family history. She loved Hallmark movies, going to the beach, and going for hikes and long walks. She was an incredible cook (her creampuffs are legendary), loved to craft, and was the biggest fan of amusement parks. Susan was always up for an adventure.
Our family will be having a Celebration of Life Memorial Service on Sunday, Aug. 21, 2032. Visitation at 2pm and a Service to share memories at 3pm in Lynchburg, VA at the Tharp Funeral Home, 220 Breezewood Drive, Lynchburg, VA. 24501.
