Susan Richeson Lee

Susan Richeson Lee, 63, went to be with the Lord on March 27, 2026. She was born in Athens to Anna Ruth and Glenn Richeson on October 29.1962. She attended school and was part of the last graduating class at the old McMinn County High School. The Class of 1980. Susan was crazy about all the kids in her family and loved to spend time with them all. She loved the holidays and would decorate every room in the house. Her favorite was Halloween and Susan enjoyed dressing up and handing out hundreds of dollars of the "good kind" of candy to all the trick or treaters. Susan loved to travel, often going to the beach with friends or family, sometimes with little notice. Susan could be packed and ready to go in a matter of minutes. Susan also loved animals but leaves behind her special fur babies Macy the dog and Lily the cat.

In addition to her parents, Susan is preceded in death by her brother, Steve Richeson and niece, Lori Annette Richeson.

She is survived by her only child, Jason (Ashley) Lee; sister, Vickie (John) Proffitt; nieces, Stephanie (Jesse) Morrow and their children Lucas, Logan, Lauren and Acelynn; Jamie Ghorley and Tyler (Venice) Corbett; Sarah (Amos) Clark and their children Marshall and Charlie; Jessica (Donald) Hoppel and their children Owen and Evan. Also left to cherish her memory is her sister-in-law, Annette Richeson.

Receiving of friends will be held on Tuesday, March 31, 2026 from 5:00pm-7:00pm in the chapel of Kyker Funeral Home, Sweetwater. Funeral Services will immediately follow at 7:00 pm with Rev. Jeffrey Haney and Rev. Todd Humbert officiating. Interment will be held on Wednesday, April 1, 2026 at the cemetery of Mt. Pisgah Baptist Church at 11:00 am.
