Susan was born on December 27, 1953, in St. Charles County, Missouri to Clarence and Hattie Rosalyn (Mason) Sneed. She spent the past 17 years with the love of her life, Walter "Wally" Pitcher, Sr.
Susan enjoyed watching cooking and home improvement shows. She also enjoyed spending her Friday evening playing aggravation with Wally and her friends.
Susan is survived by her significant other, Walter "Wally" Pitcher Sr. of Johnston City; two sons, Jason Hawk of Herrin and Walter Pitcher, Jr. of Johnston City; four grandchildren, Dylan Cunningham, of Arkansas, Samuel, Angelo, and Giuliana Pitcher, all of Wisconsin; sister-in-law, Carol (Lance) Ratachie of Johnston City; brother-in-law, Brian (Barbara) Pitcher of Palos Heights.
She is preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Julie Marie Lutes; grandson, Dawson Lutes; brother, Jim Sneed.
Funeral service will be 7:00 p.m., Wednesday, October 1, 2025, at Pyle Funeral Home in Johnston City, with Pastor Brett Sapp officiating.
Visitation will be 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., Wednesday, at the funeral home.
Pyle Funeral Home in Johnston City is entrusted with the arrangements.
