Susan Marie Meshke, age 78, passed away peacefully at her residence on September 9, 2025. She was born on July 14, 1947, in San Diego, California. Susan grew up in Poway, California, where she attended Poway High School. She later pursued her passion for beauty and style at James Hall Beauty College in San Diego. Her professional life was marked by hard work and dedication, most notably as the co-owner of Encinitas Glass Company. A woman of remarkable flair and creativity, Susan had a gift for style in all aspects of her life-from the way she dressed to the way she decorated her homes. She delighted in entertaining, hosting gatherings, and making others feel welcome. She created beautiful floral arrangements, baked and decorated cakes for all occasions, and enjoyed shopping, lunch outings, and the simple joys of life. She enjoyed cooking, loved Elvis, Toby Keith, her doggies Mac, Missy & Muffy. Above all, she lived life with vibrancy and grace. Susan was a proud member of the Patriotic Order of Does. Her faith and strength carried her through life's challenges, and her family takes comfort in knowing she is now cancer-free and at peace in the arms of the Lord. She was preceded in death by her parents, Einer and Elsa May; her brother, Michael J. May; her sister, Alberta Allen; her beloved husband, William "Bill" Meshke; and her stepson, William L. "Billy" Meshke, Jr. Susan is survived by her sister Sylvia (Monte) Nance; her brother Mark A. (Marcia) May; her niece Theresa Ledbetter; her stepdaughters Deborah (Howard) Gardner and Diane (Steve) Dickens; and her stepson Bradley Meshke. She will be deeply missed by her family and all who knew and loved her. When you hear birds sing, see a full moon or beautiful sunset, think of Susan with a smile. The family requests donations be made in Susan's memory to the Humane Society of Sonoma County.
