Susan Pendergraft Reinhardt

Susan Pendergraft Reinhardt, affectionately known to family and friends as "Mimi," passed away peacefully on August 25, 2025, in Chapel Hill, North Carolina, at the age of 87. Born on September 30, 1937, in Durham, North Carolina, Mimi lived a full and creative life, touching the hearts of all who knew her.

Mimi dedicated many years of service as a Secretary at UNC Hospital in Pastoral Care. Her professional journey also included running a successful ceramic business, where she applied her artistic talents and entrepreneurial spirit.

Artistry was at the core of Mimi's life. She was an accomplished craftswoman who expressed her creativity through sewing, painting, knitting, ceramics, and stained glass. Her handmade quilts and blankets were cherished by those fortunate enough to receive them, each piece a testament to her skill and love.

Mimi was preceded in death by her beloved parents, Lena Mae Jones and Theodore Joseph Pendergraft. She leaves behind a loving family who will forever hold her memory dear: Brian Littlejohn, Aimee Meddock, Kevin Littlejohn, and Darwin Littlejohn, along with numerous friends and extended family members.

A memorial service to celebrate Mimi's life will be planned at a later date.

Mimi's warmth, creativity, and kindness will be missed by all who knew her. Her legacy of love and artistry will continue to inspire future generations.
