Westminster, South Carolina – Susan Pelfrey Roach, age 71, passed away peacefully on Thursday, September 4, 2025, at Prisma Health Cottingham Hospice House, surrounded by her loving family.

Born on December 22, 1953, in Oconee County, South Carolina she was the daughter of the late Wayne Allen "Tom" Pelfrey and Stell Mae Cobb Pelfrey. She retired from Renfield, as a Seamstress, and was known as a homemaker. She had a great passion for listening to 70's music, quilting and needle work. She enjoyed flower gardening, reading, storytelling, and loved her late dog Reno. Susan will be remembered as a loving mother, sister, cousin, and friend. She lived a life of quiet strength and kindness, touching the hearts of all who knew her.

She is survived by her son, Marty Wayne Roach of Westminster; uncles, Sam Cobb (Bo), and Melvin Cobb (Sarah) of Westminster; cousins, Cathelene Morris, Gwen Thompson, Tim Cobb and Virgina Triplett; as well as numerous cousins who cherished her deeply.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers, Wayne Allen Pelfrey Jr. and Roger Allen Pelfrey.

At her request, no formal service will be held at this time.

The family is at their respective homes. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Sandifer Funeral Home, PO Box 69, Westminster, SC, 29693.Condolences may be shared with the family by visiting www.sandiferfuneralhome.com.
