Susan M. "Suzy" Savignac Thode

Susan, "Suzy" Mary (Savignac) Thode of New Berlin, WI, 77, went home to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on November 2, 2022 in the loving care of her family.
Suzy was born in Kissimmee, FL on January 29, 1945 to Janet and Norman (Sam) Savignac. Kissimmee was where her parents were stationed after WWII. They later moved to WI. Suzy attended grade school at Christ King Parish, was a graduate of Divine Savior/Holy Angels high school in Milwaukee, WI, and continued education at Bryant & Stratton College. She met her husband James Thode in high school and were married on September 17, 1966. They spent 52 years together.
Suzy worked for Blue Cross/Blue Shield for 28 years. After retirement she enjoyed working PT in insurance and went on to enjoy being a volunteer at Elmbrook Hospital in the gift shop.
Suzy led an active life enjoying many things such as: walking almost every day, yoga classes, her hot tub, lunches with friends, attending bible study, going to church, traveling with her sisters, and being with her kids and grandkids. Her row of begonias in front of her deck fence became a tradition she loved to plant and always enjoyed playing games.
She is survived by daughters Kari Houser and Lisa (Tim) Leveille. She was a loving and caring grandmother, referred to as "Nonny" to seven granddaughters: Michaela (Ethan) Lemke, Christaia, Karinne, Marais (Calvin) Kallis, Katrien, Chiara, and Ahlae Lu. Suzy has two great grandchildren, Aurelia and Matthias, and four beloved sisters, Sally, Mary, Patricia, & Michelle and numerous nieces and nephews whom she loved as well.
