Susan Stone, 71, of Yukon, Oklahoma, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by family on September 27, 2025, after a courageous battle with cancer.

Born on July 5, 1954, in Knox City, Texas, Susan was the youngest daughter of Norton and Jeanette Pendergraft. At the age of three, she moved with her family to Clinton, Oklahoma, where she later graduated from Clinton High School in 1972.

In 1980, she married Chester Stone, and together they had two sons, Jason (born 1981) and Justin (born 1982). The family moved several times before settling in Yukon in 1996, where they made their home.

Susan had a long and dedicated career at Yellow Freight, working as a terminal secretary and payroll clerk until her retirement in 2017. She had a passion for travel and enjoyed exploring the country. Her last trip was her 2012 journey to England, Scotland, and France.

She is preceded in death by her parents. She is survived by her loving husband, Chester; two sons Jason and Justin (wife Tiffany); stepchildren Tim Stone (Sherri) and Tandy Scott (Clay); grandchildren Sara, David, Natalie, Nicholas, and Olivia; great-grandchildren Everett, Rowan, Hank, Patrick, and Sutton; and her sisters, Ann Pendergraft and Marylin Howard.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Susan's name to her favorite charity, St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.

A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, October 4, at Mount Zion Global Methodist Church, 3201 150th Street NE El Reno, OK 73036.
