Susan Jean Sweet

Susan Jean Sweet, age 85, of Bonduel passed away on Monday December 1, 2025, in Green Bay. Susan was born on March 19, 1940, in Waukesha, Wisconsin to the late Kurt and Lillian "Ruth" (Pope) Ossman. She graduated from Waukesha High School. On August 12, 1961, Susan was united in marriage to Gerald "Jerry" Sweet at First Presbyterian Church in Waukesha. The couple spent a wonderful 52 years together before Jerry's passing in 2014. In 1979, Susan and Jerry owned and operated White Clay Lake Lodge in Cecil for 15 years. After retirement she lived in a couple of different locations but for the past four years she lived with her daughter, Terri. In Susan's, free time she enjoyed hunting with her dog and taking trips to the casino.

Susan is survived by her daughters, Terri (Bret) Hughes and Renee Birkholz; grandchildren, Lynn (David) Pyatskowit; Laurie (Roger) Banaszynski, Craig (Garrett) Birkholz and Stacy (Tom) Herman; and great-grandchildren, Alexander, Kesaehsa, Stormie, AnnaLee and Addilynn.

Susan is preceded in death by her husband, Jerry Sweet; siblings, Jack Ossman and Dolores Furrer; and parents, Kurt and Ruth Ossman.

A memorial service will be held at 11:00 am on Sunday December 14, 2025, at Swedberg-Wendt Funeral Home in Bonduel with Richard Menning officiating. Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Sunday from 9:30 am until the time of service. Inurnment will be held at Central WI Veterans Memorial Cemetery in King.
