Susan Janice Fontaine Zanvettor Tomaselli, 78, passed away peacefully on February 19, 2026, at her home in Danbury. Born in Reno, Nevada, she was the daughter of the late Edward and Arloene (Davey) Fontaine and the loving wife of Joseph Frank Tomaselli.

Susan worked as a paraprofessional in the Danbury School system for nearly 30 years and was very active in various local groups, volunteering her time and donating to numerous charities. She loved reading, telling stories, solving puzzles, watching UConn basketball games, and spending time with her adoring family.

She is survived by her husband Joseph, son David Zanvettor and his wife Noël, daughter Lisa Grafton and her husband Donald, and five cherished grandchildren, Kathryn, Andrew, Lucas, Jayden and Amaya. She is further survived by her sister Nancy Sheahan and her husband Bill, and numerous nieces and nephews. Susan was predeceased by her first husband Gene Zanvettor and their sons, Gene Jr, and Brian.

Family and friends are invited to gather on Thursday, February 26, from 5 – 8 PM at the Magner Funeral Home, 12 Mott Avenue, Norwalk. Her Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, at 10:30 AM at St. Jerome Church, 23 Half Mile Road, Norwalk, with burial to follow at St. John Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in her name to the American Heart Association or the American Cancer Society.
