Susan M. Truszkowski

In a time when things are uncertain and the world always seems to be closing in, there is a light, a rock that you can cling to. Your Mother. Susan was that light. At times, harsh to show you the way. Other times, soft to heal you. And fierce to chase away the monsters in the night. Words cannot express the gratitude and love for Susan (Mom), from all those around her.

Susan M. Truszkowski, age 82, of Lexington, passed away Friday, November 14, 2025 in her home surrounded by her family.

She was born August 23, 1943 in Detroit, daughter of the late Peter and Marie (Cihocki) Anzell. Susan married Jerome Truszkowski on May 4, 1964 in Eastpointe, MI.

Susan was active with her husband Jerome in the St. Edwards on the Lake Catholic Church in Lakeport. Her latest adventure was the "Ladies Coffee Talk," which was only made possible by her good and true friend, Dottie. Thank you!

She is survived by her husband, Jerome; sons, Jeremy and Joshua Truszkowski; daughters, Kelli, Wendy, and Jessica Truszkowski; grandchildren, Ryan (Kellyann) and Riane Griffin, and Corey Demanski, and great granddaughter, Olivia, as well as niece Nicki Michelis.

Susan was preceded in death by her son, Matthew, daughters, Tracy Griffin, Jennfier Truszkowski, brother, Roy (Alma) Anzell, and sister, Cynthia Burke.

Funeral Services will be held 11 AM Friday, November 21 at St. Edwards on the Lake Catholic Church in Lakeport. Fr. Lee Acervo will officiate.

Visitation will be from 10-11 AM Friday at the church, prior to the service.
